First impressions of Managua and Puerto Cabezas (Nicaragua)

After one week in Puerto Cabezas, and three weeks in Nicaragua. I realized that there are very different realities in Nicaragua.

Managua is a big city , but you can´t see a lot of big building, in fact, I only saw one. The decided to build only one floor or two after the 72’s earthquake. Another think that I couldn’t see, was the lake but it is very present everytime that you try going any place, because all the directions depends of the lake ( all the cardinal points are referenced to the lake) At the beginning I thought it is crazy but in a few days you realized that it works, if you live there a lot of years 

I left Managua, the first of August, after ten days in the capital city . I arrived to Puerto Cabezas, after travelled 1:30 h in “a little plane” only for twelve people. Puerto will be my headquarters. People in Managua told me, Puerto is different, people are different, the food is different…… It,s true, This is the Caribbean side, you can listen reggae all the time, you can eat a good lobster and shrimp ,each day, if you want. People are a mix of races and cultures, and the language are different too;most of them speak the miskito language. I think that this reality is very interesting, I have five months to discover
