Regarding their relationship with the nature, I would like to mention their inconspicuous respect for the environment. During last weeks Pauline, Johannes and me, we have been in several rural villages, where KIHO develops local community projects. These villages are located in Pare Mountains and people basically live for farming (maize, banana, vegetables and farm’s animals).<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Let me explain you the perfect balance between these people and the nature.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n All the villagers have a vegetable plot where they produce almost all the food that they need. Regarding the meat, they also breed their own animals, knowing perfectly the quality and the origin of the food. Even the animals have a task in this village. The domestic rubbish is almost organic, and easily dissapears, because it is animals’ food. Don’t you think that it is the best way to manage the garbage? Definitely<\/span><\/span><\/span>, the natural cycle is closed; ground – vegetable plots \u2013 food \u2013 human being \u2013 animals \u2013 ground.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Obviously, I’m not telling nothing new! However, this basic system absolutely achieves to become sustainable. I was completely susprised when I could see that sustainability is not a complex process, it is just a simple way to close the cycle.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Nowadays, sustainability appears in the political agenda of all countries. Have you heard about the ecological footprint? <\/span><\/span><\/span>It <\/span><\/span><\/span>is a measure of human demand on the Earth’s ecosystems. <\/span><\/span><\/span>The sustainability has always existed in Pare Mountains and <\/span><\/span><\/span>I hope that they never forget this way of life!<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n N\u00faria.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n En mi corta estancia en este maravilloso pa\u00eds, me tropiezo con cosas nuevas todos los d\u00edas. Desde una nueva palabra en Suhajili hasta un nuevo olor. Lo poco que he podido descubrir en estas dos semanas me fascina; las gentes deTanzan\u00eda son hospitalar\u00edas, alegres y con una estrecha relaci\u00f3n con la naturaleza.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Respecto a su relaci\u00f3n con la naturaleza, quisiera mencionar su inconsciente respeto por el medio ambiente. Durante las \u00faltimas semanas, Pauline, Johannes y yo hemos estado en las ladeas rurales donde KIHO trabaja. <\/span><\/span>Estas aldeas se situan en \u201cPare Mountains\u201d y sus gentes b\u00e1sicamente vive de la agricultura (ma\u00edz, bananas, verduras y animales de granja).<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
